Orang National Park to re-open from November 1

The Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve in Darrang district is all set to re-open for visitors from November 1. The National Park was closed back in March due to total lockdown that was imposed in all over the country due to COVID.

The Orang National Park is habitat to 101 one-horned rhinos and 21 Royal Bengal Tigers as recorded in 2018. Besides Rhinos and Tiger the reserve is also home to several wildlife species including wild elephants hog deer, pigmy hog and buffaloes.
