Over 7 Lakh voters opted for NOTA Option in Bihar Elections
According to Election Commission over 7 Lakh voters in Bihar has used the NOTA (None of the Above) option in the Bihar Assembly Elections. In the elections the NDA led alliance came back into power with majority. The Nitish Kumar led alliance has won 125 seats and the Mahagathbandhan party could only clinched 110 votes.
According Election Commission data 7,06,252 people or 1.7 per cent of the voters opted for NOTA option whereby they preferred not to vote for any candidate. Over 4 crore votes were polled in the three-phase elections. Out of nearly 7.3 crore voters, 57.09 per cent had cast votes in the polls.
