PM Modi Commends Historic Peace Pact with ULFA, Paving the Way for Assam’s Progress
National Desk, 30th December: In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the signing of a memorandum of settlement with the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), marking a monumental milestone for Assam. Recognized as a crucial step towards ensuring enduring progress in the region, the peace pact is expected to bring stability and foster a more prosperous environment in the state.
PM Modi expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts that led to this landmark achievement, signaling a hopeful future for lasting peace and development in Assam. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the gathering after the historic signing of the peace accord, assuring that all the points in the Peace Accord with the ULFA pro-talk faction would be implemented in a bound manner. He announced the formation of a committee under the Union Home Ministry for the time-bound implementation of the accord’s various points in collaboration with the Assam government.
