PM Narendra Modi flags off Vande Bharat train service between Secunderabad-Vizag
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched off the Vande Bharat train service between Secunderabad in Telangana and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on January 15, the auspicious date of Makar Sankranti.
The train which would run between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam in eight hours and thirty minutes will be the first Vande Bharat train to do so between the two Telugu states.
The prime minister praised the serving and retired personnel for their dedication to guarding the nation and its borders and gave them heartfelt accolades along with starting the Vande Bharat Express.
Speaking at the gathering, Modi asserted that Vande Bharat links the cultures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
”Vande Bharat is a true replica of India which is coming out of the mentality of dependence and moving towards Atmanirbharta (self-reliance),” the PM added.
According to reports, the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Vande Bharat express (20833) would depart from Visakhapatnam at 05:45 AM and arrive in Secunderabad at 2:15 PM.
The train will depart Secunderabad at 3 PM and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 11:30 PM, according to South Central Railway (SCR) officials. It will make stops in both directions at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Khammam, and Warangal along the way.
The train has a capacity of 1,128 passengers and is made up of 14 AC Chair Car Coaches and 2 Executive AC Chair Car Coaches. The fastest mode of transportation between these two stations will be the train.
