Guwahati: World Heritage Site Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Morigaon district will be closed for visitors with effect from May 16 (Monday).
This was announced by the Divisional Forest Officer of the Guwahati Wildlife Division on Wednesday.
The elephant and jeep safaris would be closed for the 2021-22 tourism seasons from May 16 until further notice.
It may be mentioned that the Park is closed to tourists every year during the rainy season.
