Power Crisis Disrupts Medical Services at Margherita Civil Hospital, Demands for Urgent Action
Guwahati, 23rd July: Medical services at Margherita Civil Hospital have been severely impacted due to continuous disruptions in power supply. Doctors and patients are facing extreme inconveniences, with the hospital relying on torch lights during the frequent power outages, particularly at night.
In a recent incident, a seriously wounded accident patient, Raj Kurmi, had to be treated under the aid of mobile torch lights as the hospital’s generator service remained non-functional for an extended period.
Raj Kurmi was critically injured in an accident on NH 315 near Margherita St. Mary’s School, and efforts have been made to transfer him to Dibrugarh for better treatment. The admission to Margherita Civil Hospital was initiated by some vigilant youths from the area.
The irregular electricity services and lack of functional generators at Margherita Civil Hospital have been causing significant challenges for patients, leading to demands from concerned individuals in the area for immediate action to resolve the power crisis.
