Guwahati: Assam Police arrested a fake doctor in Boko under Kamrup district of Assam on Sunday night.
The accused identified as Ibrahim Ali.
According to reports, Ali had been hiding since the death of a pregnant woman after treatment.
Acting on information, the Police team conducted a search operation in the Boralimari area and apprehended the accused.
Reportedly, a worker of About Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) identified as Munniyara Begum was also arrested in connection to the case.
The police officials further informed that Ali had been illegally running the business at his own residence in Tamuldi area for a long time.
