President Ram Nath Kovind has accepted the resignation of Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s with immediate effect. Harsimrat Kaur Badal was the former Food Processing Industries Minister resigned in protest against three farm sector bills on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been given the charge of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries by the advised by the Prime Minister. The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Service Bills were passed on Thursday in Lok Sabha and in protest of this Harsimrat Kaur Badal has resigned from her ministry post.
