Prime Accused of Chatribari Murder Case Brought from Delhi to Guwahati

Guwahati: The prime accused in the Chatribari murder case, W. Yadav, was brought from Delhi to Guwahati on Thursday night.

He was taken to the Paltan Bazar Police Station under heavy guard after landing at the Borjhar Airport.

The accused Yadav will be brought before the court on Friday.

The Assam Police took Yadav into custody on Wednesday for four days. Yadav has been detained by a police team led by ACP Prithviraj Rajkhowa.

It should be mentioned that he was taken into custody by the authorities on August 29.

The Guwahati Police had already detained Pankaj Kumar, another suspect in the murder investigation. Upon interrogation, Kumar said that W Yadav had planned the entire thing.

Notably, on February 21, a Guwahati based businessman Avdesh Yadav was shot dead by bike-borne miscreants near his residence.

According to the police, W Yadav has admitted to planning to kill Avdesh Yadav because of family issues.
