Prime Minister Modi Addresses Nation on 77th Independence Day
National Desk, 15th August: As India commemorates its 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the national flag at the iconic Red Fort and delivered a significant address to the nation, emphasizing key issues and outlining future initiatives.
Prior to hoisting the tricolor, PM Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, underlining the deep-rooted reverence for the father of the nation.
Amidst an audience of around 1,800 individuals representing diverse segments of society, including Sarpanches from villages, participants in various government schemes, and workers from different fields, PM Modi voiced his thoughts on the state of the nation.
In his address, he underscored the pressing need to combat corruption, dynastic politics, and appeasement. He expressed concern over the harm caused by “parivarvaad” (dynasty) and stated that political parties focused on a single family perpetuate an approach of “party of the family, by the family, and for the family.”
PM Modi also announced the launch of the Vishwakarma Yojana, aimed at empowering individuals with traditional skills. The scheme, outlined in the Union Budget 2023, is set to receive an initial allocation of Rs 13,000-Rs 15,000 crore.
Furthermore, the prime minister shared his vision for a developed India by the time the country celebrates its 100th year of freedom in 2047, underscoring the nation’s capabilities and available resources.
As India stands at the threshold of another year of progress and growth, PM Modi’s address served as a reminder of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, urging citizens to work together in building a prosperous and harmonious nation.
