Prime Minister Modi To Launch Rozgar Mela Today

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ‘Rojgar Mela’, a hiring initiative for 10 lakh people through video conferencing today.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), 75,000 newly appointed officials will get appointment letters during the ceremony.

The Prime Minister will also speak to these new hires at the event.

According to the PMO statement, this will be a big step toward the Prime Minister’s ongoing commitment to provide young people job opportunities and guaranteeing the welfare of residents.

“As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in Mission Mode,” the statement said. The new recruits from across the country will join 38 Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.

“The appointees will join the government at various levels viz Group – A, Group – B (Gazetted), Group – B (Non-Gazetted) and Group – C. The posts on which appointments are being made include Central Armed Force Personnel, Sub Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspectors, MTS, among others,” the PMO statement said.

Ministries and Departments are carrying out these hirings in a mission-mode either independently or through hiring organisations like the Railway Recruitment Board, UPSC and SSC.

“For expeditious recruitment, selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled,” the statement concluded.
