Guwahati, 23rd August: The prime suspect in the suicide case of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha secretary Indrani Tahbildar is set to be produced before the court on Wednesday, following the completion of his seven-day police custody.
Anurag Chaliha, identified as the prime suspect, was placed in police custody by a lower court for his alleged involvement in the suicide case of Indrani Tahbildar. The tragic incident unfolded after her intimate photos with him were leaked on social media, leading to her untimely death.
Following Indrani Tahbildar’s tragic decision, Anurag Chaliha went into hiding, but he was apprehended from Demow in Sivasagar on August 14. He has been accused of embezzling crores of rupees from individuals aspiring for government jobs in the state.
As the case unfolds, authorities are working to gather evidence and information to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and to bring those responsible to justice.
