Guwahati: A massive fire broke out on the rooftop of a residential building in Zoo Road of Guwahati on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the Lakhimi Nagar locality.
According to reports, a woman walking by the building observed flames and smoke rising from it and notified the neighbourhood.
After receiving information about the incident, a firefighter went to the spot. They have been able to bring the fire under control.
It needs to be noted property worth lakhs were turned to ashes in the fire.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
It may be mentioned that there were no casualties or injuries reported in the incident.
