Railway Police Constable Apprehended in Assam for Drug Trafficking
Guwahati, 31st August: In an ongoing effort to combat drug-related activities in Kheroni, West Karbi Anglong, Assam, authorities have achieved another significant breakthrough.
Sanjay Das, a constable with the Government Railway Police (GRP) stationed at Hojai railway station, was taken into custody by Kheroni police during the early hours of Thursday. He is alleged to have been involved in drug trafficking, with mounting evidence pointing to his participation.
The apprehension of Sanjay Das follows information gathered from Sushil Ghosh, a detained drug peddler who was previously apprehended in Dayangmukh.
Intensive investigative efforts are currently underway, involving marathon interrogation sessions to gather further details. This step emphasizes the determination of the Kheroni police to curb drug-related crimes in the region.
