Ravindra Jadeja Hands Over CSK Captaincy To MS Dhoni

Guwahati: Following a dismal run of form for the men in yellow in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has handed over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) back to Mahendra Singh Dhoni after a poor start to the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

After Dhoni decided to stand down from the job ahead of the commencement of IPL 2022, the Indian all-rounder was granted command of the squad as captain for this edition.

Jadeja reportedly gave over the reins to Dhoni and asked him to take control so he could focus on his game.

Dhoni has agreed to take command of the squad once more, allowing Jadeja to concentrate on his game.

Sharing the news on Twitter, the official handle of CSK wrote, “Ravindra Jadeja has decided to relinquish the captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game. MS Dhoni has accepted to lead CSK in the larger interest and to allow Jadeja to focus on his game.”

The Chennai Super Kings are having a bad season, ranking ninth in the IPL points standings with only two wins in eight games.

CSK will play Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the second game of the day on Sunday.
