Russia-Ukraine War: Indian students shot in Kyiv, hospitalised

Guwahati: An Indian student stranded in Ukraine has been hospitalised after he was shot in the capital city of Ukraine, just a few days after a student from India lost his life in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

General VK Singh, Minister of State (MoS) for the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), gave the information to ANI exclusively on Thursday at Poland’s Rzeszow airport.

“A student from Kyiv was reported to have been shot and was taken to a hospital in Kyiv right afterward,” General (retd) Singh told ANI.

“The Indian embassy had previously stated that everyone should leave Kyiv as soon as possible. The pistol bullet does not consider anyone’s religion or nationality in the case of war “Added he.

It may be mentioned that the students are currently fleeing Ukraine’s war-torn country and attempting to cross Poland’s border in order to return to India safely.
