SEBA HSLC Exam: 912 Centres Designated

Guwahati: At least 912 centres have been set aside for the Assam Board of Secondary Education’s High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2023.

Several members of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) including President Utpal Sarma, Joint Secretary Sankarjyoti Baruah, Education Secretary Bhabajit Bezbaruah and several members of the body reached SEBA office in Bamunimaidan on Wednesday to discuss regarding the conduction of HSLC and Higher Secondary exam scheduled to be held in March 3 (HSLC) and February 20 (HS).

The smooth operation of the HSLC and HS examinations has been guaranteed by the SEBA and the education council.

As many as 4,22,000 candidates will sit for the HSLC exam, which will be administered across 912 centres to ensure a seamless process.

In contrast, 3,42,869 applicants will sit for the HS exam, and at least 856 locations have been chosen.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu declared earlier today that the lower primary and secondary Teacher Eligibility Tests (TET) will not be held for the ensuing two years.

In this regard, AASU has urged that the judgement be overturned.
