Security arrangements reviewed before PM’s visit to Tripura

Guwahati: Security trial has been conducted and meetings have been conducted in Tripura for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on January, 4.

According to reports, PM will inaugurate a new terminal building Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport during his daylong visit to the state. PM Modi will also launch state government-initiated schemes and address a public gathering.

Senior officials of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) along with Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiradiya Scindia will also be present at the programme.

On his visit to the state Pm will also be launching Mukhya Mantri Gramin Suraksha Yojana (MMGSY) – under which funds allocation will be made for gram panchayats to develop villages – among other schemes.

It may be mentioned that around 25000 people will gather for the rally which is scheduled to be held later in the day and multiple entry gates, including one for VIP and VVIPs, will be set up at the venue.
