The Security Forces has seized around 72 kg of brown sugar worth over Rs 287 crore in Thoubal district of Manipur. Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint operation at Kamu area in Thoubal district where they seized the hefty amount narcotics.
According to the forces the market value of the brown sugar is at least Rs 287 crore. On intelligence information about a large consignment of drugs were hidden in the area awaiting distribution to various parts of the country, but the Police and Assam Rifles busted the gang and seized the huge amount brown sugar.
