Sharad Pawar Resigns as NCP Chief
Guwahati, 2 May: Veteran politician Sharad Pawar has resigned as the chief of Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP).
During a press conference on Tuesday, Pawar made a significant announcement. The audience cheered loudly in response to his announcement.
“I am resigning from the post of the national president of NCP,” said Pawar.
The NCP Party’s co-founder is Sharad Pawar. Pawar, PA Sangma and Tariq Anwar founded the NCP party in 1999 after being kicked out of the Indian National Congress as a result of a long-standing disagreement with Sonia Gandhi, the INC’s former president.
