Sivasagar police raids dump in Nazira, seizes stolen ONGC equipment in Assam

Guwahati: A substantial amount of stolen equipment belonging to the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) was seized by the Sivasagar Police on Thursday.

According to reports, miscreants took the equipment from the ONGC Nazira headquarters in Sivasagar.

Reportedly, the equipment includes a hydraulic packer machine and a number of drilling pipes.

Based on specific information, a team of police led by Nazira sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) raided a dump yard and seized the stolen equipment.

However, the dump yard belongs to a person identified as Hamidur Rahman.

It may be mentioned that the ONGC Nazira office had previously reported the incident to the police, after which an operation was launched.
