Successful Anti-Drug Drive in Assam: Police Apprehend Two Drug Traffickers with a Massive Haul of Drugs
Guwahati, 7th August: In a significant breakthrough, the Assam police conducted a highly successful anti-drug drive in Mankachar during the early hours of Monday, resulting in the arrest of two drug traffickers. The police raid on a tempo traveling from Hatsingimari to Mankachar led to the seizure of an alarming quantity of 2485 intoxicating substances from the vehicle.
The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Khalek Uz Zaman and Habibul Ahmed, both residents of Hatshingimari. The duo was found to be associated with a notorious drug racket operating in the area and supplying drugs to various parts of the state.
Speaking about the operation, authorities revealed that the investigation is actively ongoing to determine the source and destination of the drugs. The police are leaving no stone unturned to apprehend the other members of the gang involved in this nefarious activity.
