Supreme Court Registry Issues Warning About Cyber Scam

National Desk, 31st August: The Supreme Court registry has issued a warning regarding a phishing scam in which cybercriminals are exploiting the Supreme Court’s name to steal personal and confidential information.

According to the advisory, a fake website impersonating the official Supreme Court website has been created and hosted on URLs such as http://cbins/scigv.com and https://cbins.scigv.com/offence.

The attackers are soliciting personal and confidential information through these URLs, particularly through the link https://cbins.scigy.comfoffence “Offence of Money-Laundering.”

The public is strongly advised against sharing personal and confidential information through these URLs, as it could lead to data theft.

The Supreme Court registry advises individuals to verify the authenticity of links before clicking or sharing them. The official domain of the Supreme Court is www.sci.gov.in, and individuals should hover over URLs to ensure their legitimacy.

If anyone has fallen victim to this phishing attack, they are urged to change passwords for all online accounts and report unauthorized access to their bank or credit card company.

The Supreme Court registry has taken the matter seriously and reported it to law enforcement agencies for investigation and legal action against the perpetrators.
