Tense Situation Unfolds at Ambagan, Assam Over Allegations Against Doctors

Guwahati, 8th September: Tensions escalated at Ambagan in Assam’s Nagaon district as locals reportedly padlocked the gate of a state dispensary following allegations against doctors.

Agitated residents locked the entrance gate of the Ambagan State Dispensary due to the absence of doctors to treat patients on Friday. Allegations have been made that the dispensary frequently experiences a lack of timely doctor availability and proper medical treatment for patients, leading to significant unrest.

In response, locals announced the closure of the dispensary and demanded the development of the hospital, along with providing all necessary facilities for patients. They warned of further agitation if their demands were not met.

The police have arrived at the scene and are working to bring the situation under control.
