Tension Rises at Guwahati’s GMCH as Patient Goes Missing

Guwahati, 18th September: A tense atmosphere enveloped the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Guwahati on Sunday following reports of a patient undergoing treatment there going missing.

According to preliminary information, the patient had been admitted to the medicine ward on September 12 but was reported missing since September 16 (Saturday). The patient, identified as Ganesh Karki, had been suffering from severe fever and was receiving treatment at the state-run hospital.

However, on Saturday morning, the patient was discovered to be missing, prompting his family members to file a complaint at the Bhangagarh Police Station. The family hails from West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

Officials have assured that an investigation into the matter has been initiated. Further details regarding this concerning case are awaited as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the patient’s disappearance.
