Three Cyber Criminals Arrested at Guwahati Airport by Dhubri Police in Assam
Guwahati, 18th September: Dhubri Police in Assam successfully apprehended three notorious cyber criminals at Guwahati Airport. The arrest came after an individual, Shubham Prasad, filed a complaint of fraud against them, alleging that the trio had unlawfully gained access to his bank account and used his funds to book flight tickets.
The case was filed with Dhubri Police under case number 376/23, prompting an immediate investigation and search for the culprits. The police tracked down information suggesting that the suspects would be present at Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Borjhar.
A police team was dispatched to the airport and successfully detained the three individuals, who are believed to be part of a larger cyber criminal gang. The suspects were identified as Sandip Parik and Ibne Alam Khan from Dhekiajuli, Assam, and Amarjit Modak from Udalguri.
These cyber criminals had allegedly been operating for some time, using their illegal access to bank accounts to fund a lavish lifestyle, including purchasing plane tickets and luxury goods from high-end outlets.
After their arrest, the trio was taken to Dhubri Sadar Police Station for interrogation. Further investigations are ongoing.
