Three Rohingya Nationals Held by BSF Personnel In Tripura
Guwahati: Border Security Force (BSF) troops arrested three alleged Rohingya nationals at the Dharmanagar train station in Tripura on March 20.
The three alleged Rohingya nationals were apprehended by a team of BSF troops at No. 20 Battalion, BSF Panisagar headquarters in front of Dharmanagar railway station after acting on specific information.
BSF forces delivered three Rohingya nationals who had been apprehended to the Dharmanagar Defense Department. The three people who were arrseted are thought to have crossed the border illegally to enter India.
The three arrested Rohingya citizens have been identified as Md Nasir (20), Md Ismail (18) and Mahmud Rafique Molla (21).
Three mobile phones and 5,800 rupees in Indian currency were also taken from the Rohingya citizens during the search by the security officers. Then, all of the confiscated materials were given to the Dharmanagar police station’s officers.
The detained Rohingya people are being questioned at the Dharmanagar police station. The three Rohingya nationals will be sent before the district sessions court.
