Traffic Rules Issued Ahead of Jagdeep Dhankhar’s Visit in Guwahati
Guwahati: Traffic regulations have been put in place before Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar’s arrival on Thursday for the inauguration ceremony of Lokmanthan 2022 in Guwahati of Assam.
The new guidelines were unveiled by the Guwahati Traffic Police on Wednesday during a news conference.
The traffic police have implemented a number of new regulations to monitor vehicle movement on the streets without interfering with daily life.
According to the new rules, plying of vehicles carrying heavy goods will be restricted at the National Highway (NH) 27 and 17 from 7 am to 6 pm on Thursday.
Significant regulations have been issued for small, medium, and heavy goods-carrying vehicles on the DG Road, AT Road, MG Road, KLB Road, B. Baruah Road, GS Road, and Panjabari Road.
The rules will be in effect from 9 am until 3:30 pm on Thursday.
Lokmanthan 2022 officially began at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Wednesday. Assam Tourism Development Corporation and the Intellectual Forum of the North East organised it.
The purpose of the event this year is to give ethnic communities in the Northeast a platform to present their cultures.
This year of the Lokmanthan will feature a number of seminars with a variety of themes. Intellectuals, artists, writers, and scholars from throughout the nation will attend these seminars.
