Tripura: Assam CM Takes Part in Door-to-Door Campaign in Agartala

Guwahati: The head of the NEDA and the chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma participated in a door-to-door campaign for Papia Datta, a BJP candidate in the 79 Tilla under Agartala Constituency on February 4.

On the other hand, PHED Minister and BJP Candidate Jacob Zhimoni filed his paperwork on February 4 in the presence of Nalin Kohli and Neda Convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The NEDA director attended up to three rallies in the election-bound state of Tripura earlier on February 3.

On February 3, the NEDA convener Himanta Biswa Sarma urged the people of Tripura not to squander their votes for TIPRA Motha because the party would not be able to create the state’s administration.

Sarma was speaking at a party event in support of Bikas Debbarma, a BJP candidate and state head of the BJP Janajati Morcha, in the Krishnapur Assembly Constituency of the Khowai district.

Even if Tipra Motha wins certain seats, they are unable to establish a government. They don’t even reside in Delhi. What Tipra Motha is promising the public now, how will they work for them if they are nowhere to be found in Tripura or Central? Giving a vote to Tipra Motha or not voting for her is equivalent, the Assam chief minister and NEDA convener Himanta Biswa Sarma.

“They want to divide the state into two parties that no one will support it. We will work for tribal’s education, job, and employment and I want to clear that Tripura will be one state and will work for the development of Tripura”, said Sarma.
