Tripura CM Manik Saha Allocates Portfolios to Cabinet Ministers

Guwahati: Chief minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha has assigned portfolios to the members of his cabinet. According to the order, which was signed by Tripura’s chief secretary, JK Sinha, the governor of Tripura divided the state’s business by giving the following ministers responsibility for the various departments on the Chief Minister’s recommendation.

Home, Health & Family Welfare, PWD and all other departments not assigned to another Minister would be under the control of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. Ratan Lal Nath has been given the departments of Electricity, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Elections.

The responsibility for Finance, Planning and Coordination and Information Technology has been delegated to Pranajit Singha Roy. The departments of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism have been given to Sushanta Chowdhury. The Welfare of OBCs, the Prison (Home) and Industry & Commerce will all fall within Santana Chakma’s purview.

The departments of Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education and Labor have been given to Tinku Roy. Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture and Statistics will be within Bikas Debbarma’s purview. The departments of Animal Resource Development, Scheduled Castes Welfare and Fisheries have been handed to Sudhangsu Das.

As the sole IPFT minister, Sukla Charan Noatia would be in charge of the Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG) and Welfare of Minorities departments.

The Chief Minister has retained control of the Home, Health & Family Welfare, PWD and all other unallocated departments, it is vital to highlight. The public has embraced the change and it is anticipated that the distribution of portfolios would improve government efficiency.
