Tripura Concludes Peaceful Polling in East Tripura Parliamentary Constituency

Guwahati, 27th April: Tripura’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Puneet Agarwal has confirmed the successful completion of the polling process in the East Tripura parliamentary constituency without any disruptions.

The final voter turnout stood at an impressive 80.32 percent by 8 pm, reflecting active participation from the electorate in the democratic exercise.

Agarwal extended his heartfelt appreciation to all voters who contributed to the smooth conduct of the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of their engagement in shaping the nation’s democratic future.

The elections were conducted seamlessly across 1,664 polling stations spread throughout the East Tripura parliamentary constituency, ensuring accessibility and convenience for voters.

With the conclusion of Friday’s phase, polling has wrapped up in Kerala, Rajasthan, Manipur, and Tripura, marking significant progress in the Lok Sabha election cycle.

During the first phase on April 19, polling was successfully completed across all seats in various states and Union territories, including Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim, and Lakshadweep.

Looking ahead, the third phase of elections is scheduled for May 7, encompassing 94 seats across 12 states and Union territories. The anticipation builds as the nation progresses towards the ultimate stage of electoral decision-making, with counting slated for June 4.
