Guwahati: An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train in the North Tripura district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi Dutta, and she was a resident of Lalchhara Gram Panchayat of the Dharmanagar sub-division of the district. The incident took place around 12:30 PM.
Taking to media, her parents claimed that they had no quarrels or problems with anyone in their home.
It may be mentioned that the deceased has been taken by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) to North District Hospital for post mortem.
However, the reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
