Tripura government to appoint 1,100 Special Police Officers
The Tripura state education minister Ratan Lal Nath held a press meet in Agartala where the minister addressed about the state government decision to appoint 1,100 Special Police Officers (SPOs) in the state. The government will spend around 8 crore 12 lakh 59 thousand rupees annually, the cabinet also decided to appoint 398 SPOs to fill the vacancies of drivers. The education minister further said that the district governors of each district have 10 priority projects including self-reliant India, Pattaland, rehabilitation for Bru refugees, stagnant water missions, various schemes for hawkers and street vendors, various schemes in aspirational blocks. In order to implement them expeditiously the state cabinet has approved the creation of ex-cadre posts for the appointment of additional district magistrates in each district.
