Two time Olympic Medallist Wrestler Sushil Kumar arrested from Delhi on Sunday morning in connection with Chhatrasal Brawl case that resulted in a death of 23 year old former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Dhankhar by Delhi Police Southern Range Special Cell.
The Police also arrested Sushil Kumar’s associate, Ajay Kumar who had been accompanying the wrestler ever since Sagar’s murder. It was reported during investigation that Kumar Had travelled between Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana trying to evade arrest. The two were arrested while on their way to meet someone on a scooter this Sunday morning.
Kumar had been on the run since May 5 when an FIR was registered against him under IPC sections 302, 365 and 120B at Model town Police Station.
Last week Delhi High Court issued non bailable warrant against Sushil Kumar and 6 others in connection with the Chhatrasal Brawl days after a lookout notice was issued against the two-time Olympic medallist in the same case.
