Delhi Lockdown extended till May 31 : CM Kejriwal
Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal announced to extended the lockdown in Delhi by another week till 31st May (Monday) although there is decline in Covid positivity rate to 2.5% much below the rate of 5% as mandated by World Health Organization (WHO) and single day cases also reduced to around1600.
CM praised the discipline exhibited by the citizens in following the lockdown norms and credited their efforts and resilience for the declining number of cases. He further said that the decision of extension by another week was taken after consulting with the citizens and other stakeholders.
CM Kejriwal further emphasised that vaccination remains the Government’s priority and added that the government is ready to spend as much money as needed for vaccinating it’s people of Delhi.
