Abducted ONGC employee to be released by ULFA(I) after CM Sarma’s appeal

The banned outfit of Assam, United Liberation Front of Assam-Independant (ULFA-I) has announced on Thursday that they will release Ritul Saikia, the abducted employee of Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) within next 4 days.

This comes minutes after CM Himanta Biswa Sarma appeal to the Commander-In-Chief of ULFA(I) at a press conference this evening appealing as an Assamese the outfit’s C-in-Chief Paresh Baruah to release Ritul Saikia considering Saikia’s parents, his wife and infant son at distress since his abduction.

Ritul Saikia was abducted on April 21 from a rig site in Sibsagar district of Assam.
