UNLF worker arrested from Manipur’s Bishnupur
Guwahati: An active overground worker of banned militant outfit United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was arrested from Bishnupur District of Manipur.
While launching a cordoned and search operation in the Moirang Lamkhai town of the district, the Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles, police along with Manipur Police led the apprehension.
However, the identity of the arrested accused is yet to be ascertained by the police officials.
Informing the news on Twitter, Assam Rifles wrote, “ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDS A UNLF CADRE IN MANIPUR Loktak Battalion of #AssamRifles, on 09 Jun 2022, in a joint operation with #ManipurPolice apprehended an active insurgent of proscribed group UNLF from Moirang Lamkhai, Bishnupur District, Manipur.”
