UP: 16-year-old teen kills mother after being stopped from playing PUBG

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy allegedly shot dead his mother when she stopped him from playing the popular online game PUBG.

The incident took place in Lucknow.

Reportedly, the boy who is accused of killing his mother and concealing her body for at least two days at his Lucknow home.

Police in Uttar Pradesh informed that the boy killed his mother by shooting her with his father’s legal revolver on Sunday.

Following a heated disagreement between the two over the game, the boy killed his mother, according to UP police.

According to police officials, the 16-year-old was addicted to PUBG and couldn’t stand his mother for preventing him from playing the game.

The deceased mother was allegedly shot in the head by her son, resulting in her death.

According to police, the teenaged boy hid his mother’s body in a room and stayed at home for two days with his nine-year-old sister.

Notably, the boy sprayed room fresheners to mask the terrible odour of his mother’s decomposing remains.

The boy’s father works for the Army and is currently posted in West Bengal.

The boy’s father was notified of the unpleasant odour over the phone and he then contacted the local police to investigate.

When police arrived at the Army official’s residence in Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh they discovered his wife’s semi-decomposed body in an air-conditioned room.

ADCP of East Lucknow police – Qasim Abidi said that the accused boy “fabricated a bogus story” about his mother being slain by an electrician.

Meanwhile, Lucknow police ACP Archana Singh said: “A forensic team was called on the spot. They told us that the woman was shot in the head from close range and then her body was stored in an air-conditioned room to conceal the murder.”

Following that, the police questioned the accused boy’s nine-year-old sister, who recounted the full sequence of events.

Subsequently, the accused boy was apprehended and apparently confessed to the crime during interrogation.
