UP Polls: Yogi Adityanath files nomination from Gorakhpur

Guwahati: Yogi Adityanath filed his nomination papers today in Gorakhpur of Uttar Pradesh, where he is contesting in his first state election.

He prayed and conducted a havan at the Gorakhnath temple before taking his first formal step toward challenging the UP election.

In Gorakhpur, in eastern Uttar Pradesh, where Yogi Adityanath has a stronghold, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was joined by other BJP officials in a massive show of strength by the party.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at a digital rally in the poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh today.

PM Modi will digitally address assembly segments from the districts of Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, and Hapur during his rally in Uttar Pradesh.

PM Modi will hold his second round of digital rallies, the first of which took place on January 31.

The first phase of Uttar Pradesh’s assembly elections will take place on February 10, followed by the second and third phases on February 14 and 20.

In the first three stages, the majority of constituencies in western Uttar Pradesh will vote. In total, there will be seven phases of voting in the state.
