UP: Yogi adityanath elected as BJP’s legislative party leader
Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Adityanath has been elected as the parliamentary leader of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of swearing as the state’s chief minister for the second time tomorrow.
In Lucknow, the party’s legislature party meeting opened with slogans of Bharat Mata ki jai and Vande Mataram, which were attended by key leaders including Amit Shah.
Senior party leaders, including Amit Shah, met in Lucknow today to elect their parliamentary party’s head.
“Because of our hard work over the last five years, we were able to secure a two-thirds majority.” “We have proven our mettle in the eyes of the people,” Yogi Adityanath remarked in Lucknow.
“Despite the opposition’s propaganda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of’sabka saath, sabka vikas’ had an impact. Festivals can now be calmly enjoyed in Uttar Pradesh,” stated the CM-designate.
“In 2017, I had no administrative experience.” PM Modi advised him on how to run the state effectively,” he added.
“The BJP’s historic mandate is due to Prime Minister Modi’s excellent leadership and Yogi ji’s successful tenure. “Allies battled side by side in the elections,” Amit Shah stated.
“We elect the leader in a transparent manner,” he said, seemingly referring to the Congress, whose leaders have demanded a total change of the top leadership following back-to-back poll failures.
“I ask everyone to recommend (options for the legislative party leader),” Amit Shah remarked as he welcomed everyone to the conference.
Suresh Khanna, an MLA from Shahjahanpur, recommended Yogi Adityanath’s name.
“I convey my heartiest congratulations to him on being elected the head of the BJP Legislature Party today in Uttar Pradesh,” Union Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, congratulating his party colleague, I hope that under his leadership, the state will continue to progress.”
