Voice of Harley Quinn in ‘Batman: The Animated Series,’ Arleen Sorkin, Passes Away at 67
International Desk, 28th August: Arleen Sorkin, the talented voice behind the iconic DC Comics character Harley Quinn in ‘Batman: The Animated Series,’ has sadly passed away at the age of 67. The news of her demise emerged on Monday, leaving fans and fellow actors in mourning.
The confirmation of her passing came from DC co-head James Gunn, who shared a photo of the late actor on Instagram.
Mark Hamill, renowned for his portrayal of the Joker in the same animated series, expressed his sorrow on social media. He remembered Sorkin not only as a brilliant talent but also as a wonderful person. Hamill shared that he was grateful for having worked with her and for the friendship they shared.
Apart from her voice work as Harley Quinn, Sorkin was also recognized for her role as Calliope Jones in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” from 1984 to 2010.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Arleen Sorkin died on Thursday. Her husband and two boys are the only ones who remain.
