Guwahati: The West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) arrested a three-member gang from Jalukbari PS for snatching mobile phones on Sunday.
The arrested trio identified as Nausad Sk of Murshidabad, West Bengal, Hassan Sk of Murshidabad, West Bengal and Sukra Daimary of Boko.
Acting on specific information, the WGPD team apprehended a Maruti Van and recovered a total of 95 stolen mobile phones, including 50 smart phones.
During the search operation, the police officials recovered cash amounting to Rs 99,000 from their possession.
Sharing the news on Twitter, the Guwahati Police wrote, “A WGPD team from Jalukbari PS intercepted a Maruti Van & recovered a total of 95 stolen mobile phones, including 50 smart phones & ₹99,000 cash. 3 persons were arrested: *Nausad Sk of Murshidabad, WB *Hassan Sk of Murshidabad, WB *Sukra Daimary of Boko.”
