Guwahati: A man allegedly attempted to kill his wife in Fatasil Ambari of Guwahati on Saturday.
The incident took place at the Sengunbari area.
According to reports, the accused identified as Pradeep Talukdar attempted to murder his wife at his own residence.
Reports further stated that the incident occurred after the victim’s family failed to pay her husband’s and in-laws’ dowry demands.
Meanwhile, the woman was discovered in a critical state and was immediately rushed to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
It may be mentioned that a case was registered by the relatives’ members of the victim woman with Fatasil Ambari Police Station against the notorious husband and his family.
