Woman Arrested With Drugs at GRS
Guwahati: Cannabis or ganja, ‘babaji ki booti’ or ‘maal’ (what peddlers call it) has spread its roots across, which is evident as it is being openly sold at some places across the city.
Easily available at various hotspots, which include JJ clusters and parks, at prices ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 5,000, anyone can get ganja in the quantities that they require.
In a similar incident, a woman was arrested by Guwahati Railway Police (GRP) with illicit drugs on Tuesday night.
The accused women have been identified as Rohila Parbin, resident of Dimapur in Nagaland.
According to reports, Parbin was nabbed from a train that was en route Guwahati from Nagaland.
Meanwhile, 22 grams of brown sugar and 5,000 tablets have been seized by the police from her possession.
