Bongaigaon– In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old entrepreneur, Sanjit Saha, was brutally attacked and killed on November 12 in the Khagarpur area of Bongaigaon district, Assam.
The suspect, identified as Adhar Ray, allegedly used a sharp weapon to assault Saha, resulting in his death.
Saha, originally from Boxirhat in Cooch Behar district, West Bengal, had been residing at his maternal uncle’s home in Khagarpur Shalbar while operating a fruit business in the local market. Preliminary reports indicate that Ray, a local resident, carried out the attack for reasons still unknown.
Following reports of the crime, police reached the scene and detained Ray after a preliminary investigation. The suspect remains in custody as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances and possible motives behind the killing.
