Zoo Road Flyover to be Inaugurated Before Durga Puja, Maligaon Flyover Opening Dates Confirmed
Guwahati, 15th August: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the eagerly awaited Zoo Road flyover in Guwahati city is set to be inaugurated before the Durga Puja festival this year. This news comes as a significant relief to the city’s commuters who have faced traffic congestion due to ongoing construction work on the flyover.
The Zoo Road flyover’s completion and imminent opening promise to alleviate the traffic challenges that residents have encountered. Its inauguration is expected to enhance traffic flow and improve overall transportation efficiency in the area.
Additionally, Chief Minister Sarma confirmed the inauguration of the Maligaon flyover, which is scheduled to take place between August 28 and September 3. Construction workers have been working diligently to ensure the flyover’s readiness ahead of the designated timeline, signaling an early completion.
Furthermore, regarding the Guwahati-North Guwahati Bridge, the chief minister shared that its inauguration is anticipated next year around the Bihu festival.
