Guwahati: In another incident of drink and drive, a woman along with her friends were detained by Hatigaon police on Sunday night.
The drunk woman and her friends created a high-voltage drama outside Rajdhani Masjid in Guwahati’s Hatigaon area.
According to reports, the woman who appeared to be inebriated misbehaved with traffic cops and assaulted on-duty cops after being requested to stop following a road accident.
Reportedly, the woman drove her four-wheeler into another near Rajdhani Masjid in Hatigaon prompting a traffic police constable to order them to halt. However, the woman and her friends dragged the matter out for about an hour refusing to cooperate with any of the officials.
It is to be noted that the woman and her friends allegedly behaved badly toward journalists when they were questioned about the incident.
It may be mentioned that they were later handed over to Dispur police for interrogation.
