Guwahati: Srutimala Duara, an associate professor at Handique Girls College passed away on Monday.
As per reports, she passed away in California at about 11.15 am.
She was an author and assistant professor in the English department.
She was diagnosed with cancer and wrote book on her journey ‘My Journey through Cancer’.
Many students expressed their condolences for her passing on social media.
She finished her undergraduate work at Handique Girls College and continued her education at Gauhati University.
