60-Year-Old Farmer Allegedly Killed by Miscreants in Assam’s Chirang District

Guwahati, 28th July: Reports emerged on Friday about a tragic incident in Bijni, Assam’s Chirang district, where a 60-year-old farmer was allegedly killed by miscreants.

The incident occurred in Goroimari no 1 village, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to sources, the farmer sustained severe injuries and was found lying near the road, surrounded by a pool of blood.

Prompt action was taken, and the man was rushed to a private hospital in Bongaigaon for medical attention. Unfortunately, the doctors on duty declared him dead, further intensifying the sorrow surrounding the incident.

The Panbari Police swiftly arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter, seeking to uncover the motive behind the brutal murder. As of now, the circumstances leading to the attack remain unclear, leaving the community in grief and disbelief.

The authorities are working diligently to apprehend the culprits responsible for this heinous act and bring them to justice. The incident has sparked concerns over safety and security in the region, calling for greater vigilance and measures to protect the lives and livelihoods of the local residents.
