ACEO: Sikkim has 4,50,550 eligible electors
Guwahati: With the most recent revision, Sikkim added 6469 new voters while also deleting 5764 voters, bringing the state’s total number of registered voters to 4,50,550.

With this, the overall number of electors in the Final Electoral Roll as of January 3 following final publication is 4,50,550, with Male: 2,27,406 and Female: 2,23,144.
The Final Electoral Roll shows a net increase in voters of 0.16% when compared to the Draft Electoral Roll, which was released on November 9, 2022.
6469 new voters were registered during this revision, and 5764 votes were removed. 2977 new voters between the ages of 18 and 19 are among the newly registered voters.
During this revision, 367 PWDs were also marked in the electoral roll. Sikkim has 1996 service voters according to the final roll.
The Election Commission of India conducts Special Summary Revision every year for updation and purity of the Electoral Roll, it was announced today (January 5) in a news conference arranged by the commission. Pre-revision preparations this year began on August 4 and the real revision began between November 9 and December 8, 2022.
In the presence of representatives from registered and unregistered political parties in the state, Pema Lhaden Lama, SCS, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Sikkim, today announced the release of the electoral roll’s final publication with 1.1.2023 as the qualifying date.
According to the Election Commission of India’s guidelines, only Speed Post shall be used for the delivery of EPIC cards (Voter Cards). Newly enrolled voters can also receive their e-EPICS through the Voter Helpline App if a unique cellphone number was provided after registration.
